Here is round 2 of my updated NFL Mock Draft
- Tampa Bay-La'el Collins,OT LSU. Collins is the best OL prospect not named Scherff or Obughei. I'm honestly not sure why he's not in the first round yet.
-Chicago [via TEN]-Danielle Hunter,DE LSU. As I mentioned in my original mock, I firmly believe that the Bears or going through "buyer's remorse" with Jay Cutler, and the new regime is going to do everything possible to get rid of him, no matter what the cost. Tennessee is a good option here because of previous history. [Cutler went to school at Vanderbilt, and has a home in Nashville]
-Jacksonville-Todd Gurley,RB Alabama. Gurley isn't the best option, but they need an RB badly. They can't rely on Toby Gerhart/Dennard Robinson again.
-Seattle [via OAK]- Tevin Coleman,RB U of Indiana. I'm still mocking a trade involving Marshawn Lynch. With Tevin Coleman, who is Indiana's career leader in all-purpose yards, the Seahawks offense could be even more dynamic than it already it is.
-Arizona [via WAS]-Markus Golden,OLB Mizzou. I'm also still mocking a trade which would make Kirk Cousins an Arizona Cardinal. If they ended up with both players here, they would definitely return to the playoffs.
-Jets-Devin Smith,WR Ohio St. As I mentioned in my first round mock, the Jets have to hit reset on offense, they started that in the first round by picking Jameis Winston, now they get his go to guy in Smith.
-Chicago-Nick O'Leary,TE Florida St. The Bears new Coach John Fox likes to use two TE's, and O'Leary is the second best one in this years draft. It is also possible that they trade this pick, if they end up with the Titans pick as well.
-Atlanta-Marcus Peters,CB U of Washington. Peters would be in the first round if he wasn't a doofus. [he was suspended twice in college for smoking pot] That being said, he is a terrific player who has Pro Bowl ability, as DB and a returner.
-Giants-Rashad Greene,WR Florida St. The Giants are probably going to try to trade Victor Cruz, so they need to replace him. If this is the pick, Eli will be very happy.
-St.Louis-Ty Sambrailo,OT Colorado St. Whoever ends up being the Rams' QB this year is going to need all the protection they can get, and Jake Long is done after his most recent knee injury.
-Minnesota-Quinten Rollins,CB Miami [Ohio]. After a very impressive showing at the East/West Shrine Game, Rollins' name will be called sometime during day two of the draft.
-Cleveland-Hao'uli Kikaha,OLB U of Washington. Kikaha could be the final puzzle piece to an already impressive defense.
-N'awlins-Nelson Agohlor,WR USC. The Saints could use Agohlor as a safety valve in case Marquez Colston doesn't comeback.
-Miami-Maxx Williams,TE U of Minnesota. Here is a wild card. This pick has to be offense, but all the other options are gone, so why not take a chance on a very talented, but raw TE? With this pick, Charles Clay can go back to H-Back, where he belongs
-San Fran.-Hroniss Grasu,C Oregon
- Houston-Tre Jackson,G Alabama
-San Diego-Derron Smith,S Fresno St. The Chargers have a lot of options here, but secondary is the biggest need.
-Kansas City-T.J. Clemmings,OT U of Pitt.
-Buffalo-Brett Hundley,QB UCLA. I don't think for one second that the Bills' new ownership will allow Rex Ryan to pursue Mark Sanchez, no matter how desperate they are.
-Philly-A.J. Cann,G South Carolina
-Cincy-Denzel Perryman,OLB U of Miami
-Pittsburgh-Jalen Collins,CB LSU
-Detroit-Ellis McCarthy,DT UCLA. Yes, I have the Lions double dipping at D-Line. As I said in round one, Fairley won't play all season, and Suh probably will be gone.
-Washington [via ARI]-Tyeler Davison,DT Fresno St.
-Carolina-Jay Ayjai,RB Boise St. The Panthers are finally going to "divorce" Jonathon Stewart and Deangelo Williams. Ayjai is a very similar type of back, who can help in the back field and in the pass game.
-Baltimore-Ameer Abdullah,RB Nebraska. Justin Forsett very conveniently chose to have the best year of career right before he hits the market. If he leaves, the Ravens will need a durable back to replace him.
-Dallas-Carl Davis,DT Iowa
-Denver-Reese Dismukes,C Auburn
-Indy-T.J. Yeldon,RB Alabama. The Colts can't rely soley on Boom Herron.
-Green Bay-Xavier Cooper,DT Washington St.
-Seattle-Ronald Darby,CB Florida St.
-New England-Duke Johnson,RB U of Miami
